RIGGING
first mockup rig made using Advanced Skeleton

Altered MOM/ALIEN design:

we received some feedback that the alien character design is too far off from the Mom character so Yejin tried some new design iterations.
THE STORY

It seemed the last iteration of our story lost some of the 'relatability' of feeling isolated and scared from the main character's perspective of going through change. It was losing the original message that we wanted to tell so we studied some references to find better ways of visual storytelling.
Latest animatic by Yejin
some changes we made:
- begins with a dream sequence of Min on a plane grieving her leaving her home country with her mom who is seen as the alien at the end of this sequence, prompting her to spring out of bed.
- included a sequence where Min has a breakdown fearing that she will also be seen as an alien by her friends.
